Best Time to Visit Dubai
Plan your holiday around optimal weather patterns, outdoor adventures, and seasonal events.
Seasonal Weather Overview
The best time to visit Dubai is between November and March, when daytime temperatures sit in the pleasant low-to-mid 20s°C and outdoor activities such as desert safaris, beach days and rooftop dining are at their most enjoyable. This period also covers major events like the Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Marathon. Avoid July and August unless you don't mind extreme heat and humidity — most travel then is centred on air-conditioned malls, indoor attractions and hotel pools.
Climate Note: Dubai has a hot desert climate. Summers (June-September) are extremely hot and humid, with highs regularly exceeding 40°C. Winters (December-February) are warm and dry with comfortable evenings, occasionally cool enough for a light jacket after sunset.

Know Before You Go to Dubai
Essential cultural guidelines, local customs, and travel etiquette to ensure a smooth, enjoyable vacation.
Dress modestly in public areas and malls — shoulders and knees covered is a safe rule; swimwear is fine at beaches and pool areas only.
Alcohol is only served in licensed venues (hotel bars/restaurants and some standalone lounges) — public intoxication is a criminal offence.
Public displays of affection beyond hand-holding are frowned upon and can technically result in a fine.
The weekend is Saturday-Sunday; Friday is a working half-day for many businesses with prayer breaks around midday.
During Ramadan, eating, drinking or smoking in public during daylight hours is restricted for everyone, including tourists.
Tipping (~10%) is customary but not compulsory in restaurants and for tour guides/drivers.
Photography of government buildings, military sites and local people (without consent) should be avoided.
