Discover Paro
Cradled in a breathtaking alpine valley along the crystalline Paro Chhu river, Paro is the enchanting spiritual gateway to the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan—the world's only carbon-negative nation and the pioneer of Gross National Happiness. Home to Bhutan's iconic cliffside Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang) clinging dramatically to a vertical 900-meter granite cliff, the majestic Rinpung Dzong fortress, ancient 7th-century Kyichu Lhakhang, and scenic pine-forested valley trails, Paro offers an extraordinary, peaceful, and deeply spiritual Himalayan journey.
